If you are looking for a page about Mike and Teresa Grant and their work in Haiti you have come to the right place.  Here you will find photos, blogs, and general information about who we are and what we do.  Right now we are living out at Beauchamp and access to electricty is a little tough, so updating may be a little sporadic.  Keep checking back as we continue to add more stuff.  Feel free to email us at mtinhaiti@mac.com

Mike – a little about me

I have been in the preaching ministry for 29 years.  I held ministries in Illinois, Alabama, South Carolina and Florida before coming in to Haiti full-time.  I had been working with NWHCM with short-term trips since 1992.  My passion is with the ministers, preaching and teaching.  I teach in the Bible College at the main mission in St. Louis du Nord.  I am working with the ministers (especially the ones in the Far West) and teaching them on a weekly basis.  Right now we are studying the Book of Acts.

I travel throughout the Far West preaching, teaching, doing revivals and starting new churches and/or reviving existing struggling churches.  I love anything outdoors.  I love to surf (my passion since I was a boy), anything with water I enjoy.  I play golf (sometimes).  I love my 3 grandchildren; Mackenzie (9), Zoe (7), and Dylan (5).  That is one of the hardest things about coming to Haiti full-time — leaving those grandchildren.

Teresa – a little about me

I have been married to Mike for 35 years in 2009.  We have 3 beautiful children — Tonya, Mitzi and Shawn.   They are all married and we have 3 wonderful in-law children — Sean, John and Erica.  I love the adventures that I have had with Mike during our ministry thus far.

Teresa and Belle

At the present time my main job is to be a helpmate to my husband in our ministry here in Haiti.  I am also working with a group of Haitian ladies with a sewing project to help employ them — this project is called “Sewing Hope”.  I have started teaching the bible to a ladies group in BeauChamp  – we are going to do an overview of the Old Testament this year.  My passion is horses.  I have loved them since I was a little girl.  I did not have my own until I was an adult but was always fortunate to be around them during my “growing-up” years.  I had to sell my horse that I had raised from a baby when we came in to Haiti but God was good and sent us to a rural area in Haiti that has horses and in October I was able to buy a Haitian horse.  Her name is “Belle” and she is pregnant with a mule and should deliver around March/April.  So, I guess I will be able to raise another baby.

I love my family and feel very blessed to have children, in-law children, and grandchildren that all love the Lord and serve the Lord in ministry.  You can’t get any better than that!

I am a old childhood friend of Marty Brinkley and I got your blog address from her on facebook. I read about your work and the most recent part about the devastation. It is fortunate that you are alive, only because God wanted it that way. You must keep doing your gracious work. And what a job it must be, especially now. I will pray for you and all the people you have helped and the many more who will be coming your way. I just wanted you to know I do believe in the power of prayer and I will pass it on until everyone in my prayer group knows to add you to their list too. God Bless you and the people of Haiti
