About Us

If you are looking for a page about Mike and Teresa Grant and their work in missions — well here it is.  We have returned from Haiti and have just accepted a call to plant a church in Lake Marion, South Carolina.  I guess that God never calls us to easy work just to obey his lead.  We will be moving to Manning, South Carolina at the end of September, 2011.  There is a lot to be done and a task that only God could be in.  Please pray for us as we set out on yet another adventure that God has lead us on!  Here you will find photos, blogs, and general information about who we are and what we do.  It was amazing.  Keep checking back as we continue to add more stuff.  Feel free to email us at mtinhaiti@mac.com

Mike – a little about me

I have been in the preaching ministry for 31 years.  I held ministries in Illinois, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida and Haiti.  God has lead me on many adventures with the last 4 years being a full-time missionary in Haiti.  I worked with starting churches, training leaders, building a campus in the Northwest region of Haiti in a town called Beauchamp.  Part of  my heart is still in Haiti and I love and miss the wonderful men who work so tirelessly for the Lord.  However, the Lord has opened a new door for me and I feel he has been preparing Teresa and I for this for a long time.  My passion is preaching, teaching and being with people so a new church plant in South Carolina seems right up my alley.

I love anything outdoors so moving to this recreational area in South Carolina should provide me with ample things to do.  I love to surf (my passion since I was a boy), anything with water I enjoy.  I play golf (sometimes).  I love my 5 grandchildren; Mackenzie (12), Zoe (10), Dylan (8), Jude (1-1/2 year) and our newest grandson (Zeke 1 year).

Teresa – a little about me

I have been married to Mike for 37 years in 2011.  We have 3 beautiful children — Tonya, Mitzi and Shawn.   They are all married and we have 3 wonderful in-law children — Sean, John and Erica.  I love the adventures that I have had with Mike during our ministry thus far.  Haiti has been such a wonderful experience.  We have been involved in Haiti since 1992 and went full-time from 2007-2011.  I don’t see us leaving Haiti for good — just for a period until God finds us a place to work.  Tout baygay deja byen!

At the present time my main job is to be a helpmate to my husband in our ministry (wherever that might be).  My passion is horses.  I have loved them since I was a little girl.  I did not have my own until I was an adult but was always fortunate to be around them during my “growing-up” years.  I had to sell my horse that I had raised from a baby when we moved to Haiti and then God blessed with with a beautiful mare in Haiti who was pregnant and delivered a beautiful colt and we named him Bolt.  So…in returning to the states I had to give away my mare, colt and 2 donkeys.  I guess I will see what God has in store for me now.

I love my family and feel very blessed to have children, in-law children, and grandchildren that all love the Lord and serve the Lord in ministry.  You can’t get any better than that!

Mike, you stated that you have been in the misistry for many years. Where did you go to school? What is your faith background.
