For those of you who know Vogly (our Haitian interpreter) — well he is getting married. He met Ermante Merzuis in BeauChamp. She is a member of the church and is also in Teresa’s sewing program. Well the ‘ole love bug bit and it bit hard. We seldom see him unless he has to be working! Guess where he is at?
Vogly and Ermante have nothing to get started. It is our hope and prayer that they can have a nice wedding (they plan to do a small one). They want to get married at the beginning of July but like most young couples, money is an issue. We would like for them to have one night in a motel for a honeymoon and then things to help them set up house — a bed, a table, chairs, cooking utensils, etc.
Hopefully Vogly’s house will be completed by the end of summer. This will be on the property here in BeauChamp at our campus.
Anything you could do to help them out would be greatly appreciated. Please send your donations to the following and designate for Vogly’s wedding. We will then get the …

When I first bought Belle back in October of 2008 I was told that she was pregnant with a mule and that she would deliver somewhere between March and April 2009. Well only part of that was right. She is super protective and will whip her butt around to kick you or lunge at you with her teeth ready to bite. She has got Mike and I both (just barely) with her teeth on our shoulder. I cannot wait to pet him. I thought I was through raising baby horses when I had C.J. I had to sell her to move to Haiti so I guess that God …

We could not have asked for a better group to start the summer off with than these two groups. You would have never known that there were two groups there because they meshed as one group. From the very beginning the unity between them was evident. They came with a specific thing in mind — to serve God and the Haitian people — and they did this extremely well. They did not let the rain or mud dampen their spirits. We still accomplished everything that was planned.
Who said it “never rains in BeauChamp?” It started to rain in the area the day before we got there and it continued to rain almost everyday this group was here. Mike and I could barely cross the river on the 4-wheeler on Saturday to come home. The group arrived a few hours later in the bus and one of the trucks. We were very happy to see them because we were not sure that they could make it without getting stuck.
Thank goodness the ministry center was complete so we could eat, have our devotions, do the Gran Moun party and break-out sessions for the …

Just to let you all know we are back at the main mission in St. Louis du Nord, very tired and ready for bed. Tomorrow we will be heading to BeauChamp. Travel days are always so long but it is so good to be back.
