The Proclaimer – an amazing tool for the Haitian pastors and those seeking to hear God’s Word. This small box has the Old and New Testament recorded in the language of Creole. This device can be charged by solar or by electrictricity which makes it very portable and very useful. Many of the Haitians cannot read so it is very valuable for them – this enables them to hear God’s Word in their own language. God’s word is powerful — it has the ability to change lives, to penetrate the deepest hurts, to shine so that the darkness of Satan must flee. In a country where voodoo is so prevalent — only the power of God’s word can change the lives of the people and the country of Haiti.
Romans 10:17 “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”

Just a note to say I am so happy that the sun is out today. I would like to just go sit in it’s warmth but there are many things to do to get ready to head back out to BeauChamp. But just the same — it is so nice to see it!

Wow what a week! I am still in the processing mode as there was so much information to take in. Our first day the invocation printed on paper touched me — so I thought you might like it also.
Almighty God, you who call me to prayer,
and who offer yourself to all who seek
your face, pour out your Holy Spirit
upon me today and deliver me
from coldness of heart,
from a wandering mind,
from all self-serving desires.
By the power of your Spirit, place
within me your grace and your steadfast love.
Renew me that I might worship this day you with all of my life;
through Jesus Christ my Lord…
Amen.
As I read this I realized just how much that needed to be a part of my daily thought process with God. Oh what a wandering mind I have. I kid and say that I must have A.D.D. but to God my focus must be on Him totally — that my desires would not be self-serving and that my heart would not become cold to what I see and experience every day on the mission field in this 3rd world country with so much need. I pray that …
