Mike and I would like to thank all of you for your prayers and concerns during Mike’s surgery.  Today is 1 week since surgery and Mike is doing very well.  We are both getting a little stir crazy and need to get out.  Recovery is going well especially when we had to be inside due to Tropical Storm Faye’s rain.  We were very fortunate to have stayed dry during this time seeing how we were in the area that had over 2 feet of rain. Right in our area so many people were affected by flooding, power outages and the beaches took such a big hit with beach erosion but we stayed dry and never lost our power — so we were very comfortable.  We stayed up and watched the olympics every evening way to late but what the heck — we could sleep in!  

It has been I real JOY having Vogly with us. This is his first time to the U.S. He is pretty quiet so it is sometimes hard to read him but I know he has had a good time even though he has had to sit around some after my surgery and with all the rain we had from the storm. We did manage to take him to Disney World and to say the least that was an “eye opening experience!” He rode every roller coaster and his favorite ride ended up being the Jungle Cruise. We have gone to see a few movies and he really enjoys these plus the popcorn, raisinets and Sprite. Most of all we have been able to take him to some of the Central Florida Churches that support us and who know him and it has been a joy for him to worship with us and to see him and the people reconnect.
